Join us for a fun and educational workshop and social gathering focused on discovering the beauty, benefits, and importance of Florida\u2019s native plants.\u00a0\"\ud83c\udf3c\"<\/span>\"\ud83e\udd8b\"<\/span>\"\ud83d\udc26\"<\/span><\/div>\n
Whether you\u2019re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, you\u2019ll learn what makes a plant native, explore Florida\u2019s native plant communities, and discover how native plants can support birds, pollinators, and other local wildlife. We\u2019ll also highlight common native species for Citrus County landscapes and share practical tips for choosing the right plants for your home.<\/div>\n
Throughout the morning, we\u2019ll cover planting for birds, pollinators, and wildlife, including host plants, nectar plants, creating wildlife-friendly landscapes, and seasonal planting recommendations. We\u2019ll also discuss selecting plants based on sun, shade, and moisture conditions and ways native landscaping can help reduce maintenance.<\/div>\n
