Join us for a fun and educational workshop and social gathering focused on discovering the beauty\, benefits\, and importance of Florida’s native plants. \nWhether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started\, you’ll learn what makes a plant native\, explore Florida’s native plant communities\, and discover how native plants can support birds\, pollinators\, and other local wildlife. We’ll also highlight common native species for Citrus County landscapes and share practical tips for choosing the right plants for your home.\nThroughout the morning\, we’ll cover planting for birds\, pollinators\, and wildlife\, including host plants\, nectar plants\, creating wildlife-friendly landscapes\, and seasonal planting recommendations. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation and tour of our mosquito control facility. We will start with a presentation on mosquito control practices\, how you can prevent mosquitoes at home\, and then finish with a tour of our equipment\, lab and helicopters. Everyone is welcome free of charge. This event is geared toward adults however\, children who are interested are welcome to attend.
