The Citrus County Landfill will be accepting tires Thursday, October 22nd - Saturday, October 24th. Mosquito Control will have THREE mobile sites set up Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during this event to assist residents. Friday, October 23^rd: Where: Mobile site will be located at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, 4150 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446. When: 8:00am-4:00pm. Citrus County residents may bring up to 25 tires to the Citrus County Landfill or one of the mosquito control mobile sites at no charge. Make sure to show your photo I.D. that has your Citrus County address. MUST have photo ID to drop tires off at no cost. Landfill is open Thursday and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Saturday 8:00am-2:30pm. In the state of Florida, it is illegal to haul over 25 tires without the proper permit from FDEP (F.A.C). This is strictly un-rimmed passenger tires ONLY.
